Hace siete años, Spock's Beard nos sorprendió con un "Noise Floor" apabullante. Un disco imposible de unos Kansas que ya nunca veremos. Ahora vuelven con "The Archaeoptimist", y me esperaba algo similar. Porque mientras Spock's Beard saben recrear el sonido de Kansas mejor que los actuales, su antiguo "jefesito" sólo hace el kansino. Eterno proclamador de homilías y sermones de tres horas, en discos inacabables. Agotador, ése hombre. No tiene medida de las cosas y es una lástima. Con una bonita portada entre Hipgnosis y Hugh Syme, procedo al psicoanálisis de este sensacional álbum. En los Beard debuta el nuevo batería Nick Potters. Siguen de la formación histórica Alan Morse (guitarra, voz), Ryo Okumoto (teclados, voz, producción), y Dave Meros (bajo, teclados, voz). ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
