Widespread Panic – Live In The Classic City (2002)
A Michael Houser, miembro fundador de la banda, lo apodaban "Panic" debido a sus frecuentes ataques de pánico. Esta circunstancia es la que determinaría el nombre del grupo, Widespread Panic (pánico generalizado). John Bell (voz, guitarra) y Michael Houser (bajo) se conocieron en 1981 en la Universidad de Georgia. Durante algún tiempo actúan juntos bajo el nombre de " Severe Driving Problems". En 1984 conocen a Dave Schools (bajo) y se forma el embrión de Widespread Panic. Debutan en un escenario en 1985 en el Weymanda Court, Athens. Al año siguiente entra a formar parte del grupo Todd Nance (batería). Su primer disco, "Space Wrangler ", ve la luz en 1987. ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
