ALTAIR - Fantasías y Danzas (1990 / 2026 - 5 Lunas)
Los dúos entre electrónica y percusión siempre han funcionado bien en el prog rock. La historia está llena de ejemplos. Hasta yo mismo en mi último Pluralis, preferí ese formato para "B4". Pero hacerlo en 1986 en Manresa, suponía un reto considerable, porque el tiempo y las modas no acompañaban lo más mínimo. En absoluto. Así fue como Isabel Muniente (teclados) y Alfredo G. Arcusa (batería), tuvieron la osadía/ valentía de formar Altair. En 1989 editan su debut, el ya recomendable, "Altair". Pero como digo, no eran tiempos para éstas sutilezas. Y aunque el segundo lo grabarán al año siguiente, "Fantasías y Danzas" no saldría hasta 10 años después. En 1999, en el sello de México, Luna Negra. Ahora lo hacen desde Andalucía, 5 Lunas (va de Lunas, por lo visto!), con alguna remasterización y mejorado acabado en presentación. Se advierte desde "Obertura Celta" (5'21) un amor emersoniano que forma parte (no íntegra) del estilo Altair. ...
I sometimes wonder what it was like to be a music lover in the seventies. So many bands with so many records and so many of them obscure…was it as big a treat as it is today to find something incredibly rare. Blackwater Park "Dirt Box" [Spalax]
ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
