Hora de darse una vuelta por la zona de confort. Ja. De eso nada. Al contrario que otras bandas-franquicia, que se venden como "la experiencia real", cuando te están metiendo una banda tributo, (Foreigner, Kansas....), en Tangerine Dream todavía hay un pase. Porque aunque ya no haya nadie ni remotamente original o histórico, sus miembros se dedican todavía a crear e improvisar como en los tiempos gloriosos. No son una copia carbón, una clonación con idénticas canciones y arreglos. Aquí todavía hay creatividad, Arte. Claro que directamente inspirado de la etapa clásica, con la trilogía sagrada, Franke-Froese-Baumann. "Live at the Victoria Palace Theatre" no es un disco suelto. Pertenece a la box-set, "In Search of Hades" (The Virgin Recordings 1973 - 1979). Pero lo tienes en la red sin problema. 1974 fue el año de "Phaedra", y algo ocurrió a partir de entonces en la música progresiva electrónica. El primer concierto de aquella apretada age...
I sometimes wonder what it was like to be a music lover in the seventies. So many bands with so many records and so many of them obscure…was it as big a treat as it is today to find something incredibly rare. Blackwater Park "Dirt Box" [Spalax]
ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
