Hoy traemos a uno de los guitarristas más infravalorados de la escena del rock: Steve Marriott. En esta ocasión podemos disfrutarlo con una de sus bandas menos conocidas, Packet Of Three. Su nombre proviene de una broma que contaba Steve en sus directos: «Me gustaría dar las gracias a mi padre por no darse cuenta del agujero que había en su paquete de tres» (haciendo referencia a un paquete de preservativos, Packet Of Three). En 1975, Humble Pie estaba en bancarrota por la mala gestión de su mánager, Dee Anthony. Por otra parte, la salud de Steve Marriott se encontraba notablemente afectada por las drogas. Si a todo esto unimos el cansancio tras años de giras y el fiasco de su último trabajo, Street Rats , llegamos a la disolución de la banda al finalizar la gira de promoción de este último disco. ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
