No es muy habitual que yo haga críticas fuera del entorno progresivo pero todos hemos sido adolescentes y llevamos en el recuerdo aquellas músicas que nos hicieron despertar: Rare Earth, Creedence, Hendrix, CSNY, Cream, Traffic, Beatles etc y por supuesto Chicago Transit Authority. Efectivamente no solo de progresivo vive el hombre y en los tiempos en que la música era realmente música coexistieron otras formas y estilos. Si se hiciese un estudio pormenorizado de lo que realmente a nivel global y gusto musical generalizado sucedió entre 1969 y 1973 no creo que se llegase a una conclusión lógica. Por la extraña razón que sea el nivel de calidad de lo que se escuchaba en las grabaciones de vinilo en la época, incluso en lo comercial y popular, estuvo muy por encima de todo lo que vino después. Naturalmente también hubo cosas malas y terribles pero que la música compleja e imaginativa llegase a estar de moda en ese corto espacio de tiempo y que los humanos hagamos alguna vez las cosa...

ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
