BATERISTAS EN LA SOMBRA XXXVIII: Terri Lyne Carrington
Aunque la distinguida baterista norteamericana no esté precisamente muy acechada por la sombra, su persistencia en la defensa de valores humanos, no deja de estar condenada por la inoportuna sombra del intolerante desecho. Carrington comenzó su carrera profesional en Massachusetts con tan solo diez años de edad, cuando se convirtió en la persona más joven en recibir una tarjeta sindical en Boston. Fue destacada como una "niña prodigio" en numerosas publicaciones y en programas de televisión locales y nacionales. Después de estudiar con una beca completa en el Berklee College of Music, Carrington trabajó como músico siendo muy solicitada en Nueva York, para mudarse posteriormente a Los Ángeles, donde ganó reconocimiento en la televisión nocturna como baterista residente tanto del Arsenio Hall Show como del programa VIBE TV de Quincy Jones, presentado por Sinbad.
Siendo una veinteañera, la Sra. Carrington realizó extensas giras con Wayne Shorter y Herbie Hancock, entre otros....

ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
