Casi al mismo tiempo de la disolución de los chavales “Wilde Flowers” los caminos se dividirían en dos bandas principales: los mencionados Softs y Caravan. Por cierto con formas diferentes de entender el camino a seguir. Dos bandas haciendo el mismo estilo no tenía mucho sentido en aquella época donde la búsqueda principal era la originalidad como grupo. El sonar lo más diferente posible que es justamente el camino contrario de las bandas prog del presente. Apuntar que hace ya más de medio siglo las cosas progresivas estaban por inventar intentando simular lo menos posible a cualquier referente. Hoy por el contrario la falta absoluta de melodías imaginativas y fantasía argumental hace que todo suene igual de aburrido y pesado incluso teniendo miles de referentes. Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
