Nuestros protagonistas de hoy fueron el embrión de Blues Wire, uno de los grupos más representativos del blues en Grecia. Incluso, algunos eruditos bluseros lo consideraron la mejor banda de blues de Europa. Obtuvieron el respeto internacional sirviendo como banda de apoyo en las giras europeas de titanes como Albert King, Buddy Guy o Otis Rush. La banda se formó en 1983 en Salónica, Grecia, cuando el guitarrista Elias Zaikos y el bajista Sotiris Zisis decidieron unirse para formar una banda de blues. En aquella época, tocar blues en Grecia y en inglés era visto como una excentricidad. Por ello, tuvieron muchas dificultades para encontrar una casa discográfica que les apoyara (o apoyase). ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
