Me parto y me mondo siempre que escucho los álbumes "malos" de Genesis. Reconozco que son unos de mis muchos "guilty pleasures". Pero es que un tendero con muy mala uva me los regalaba para joderme la vida. Resulta que tengo todos, incluidos maxis. Vuelvo al tema, decía que me río cuando escucho a Tony Banks en esos discos, porque el hombre es absolutamente incapaz de ser simple, pop o comercial, aunque lo intente. Antes muerto que sencillo. Simplemente, no le sale. Y es ése factor el que hace que esos ramplones discos, tengan algo de miga, enjundia y significado. Al menos para mí. Comprendo al que los aborrezca. Está en su derecho. En una reciente conversación con un amigo de toda la vida, salió este disco. Que yo ni estaba seguro de tenerlo, luego resultó que sí. Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
