Estamos en 1974 y la experiencia caravanera de tocar con una orquesta sinfónica fue un relativo fracaso. Sobre el mes de julio el bajista John G.Perry los abandona y a partir de aquí los bandazos, cambios, orientación de estilo y una idea nada clara de que hacer y por donde seguir sería la tónica general. Pye Hastings es el que mantiene el pulso junto con Richard el batería fiel. La dispersión en todos los sentidos mediados los 70´s la vamos a encontrar no solo en Caravan sino más bien en todas las agrupaciones del árbol genealógico asociado al estilo con el agravante además de que las formaciones no suelen pasar más de dos o a lo sumo tres veces por el estudio de grabación para grabar un disco como veremos más adelante. Cierto es, que la banda de Hastings aguantará hasta nuestros días hasta rozar lo anecdótico. Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
