QUIVIRA - Quivira (2026 / Melodic Revolution)
Quivira, "la Ciudad del Oro", en idioma nativo. Buscada en su expedición de 1541 por Francisco Vázquez de Coronado. Menuda cuadrilla de cuatreros sin escrúpulos, los conquistadores españoles. Trump aprendió bien de ellos. Como era de esperar, la jugada les salió mal a los saqueadores españoles, de lo cual me alegro. Y si le sale todo mal al otro, también. Pero a nosotros nos ha salido muy bien, visto y oído este sorprendente debut/álbum conceptual. Algunas pistas...... Quivira estaba más o menos por las inmediaciones de Kansas. Y Jake Livgren (voz, multiinstrumentista), es sobrino de Kerry Livgren y ex-Proto Kaw. Completan Quivira, John Baker (guitarras, bajo, voz) y Lisa LaRue (total compositora y teclados). ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
