Y ya por el volumen 10 en tiempo récord! En dos años, más de 100 nombres del progresivo español pasado y presente. Seguramente también futuro. Porque ésto es lo que augura éste proyecto y sello. Una celebración de amor por la buena música y por nuestro prog en particular. Epopeya nunca antes hecha que deja al sello 5 Lunas en una posición muy alta para los aficionados al género. Iba a ser el último de los capítulos, pero tras demanda popular, parece que habrá más. Y a nosotros nos hace felices poder decirlo. Allá vamos. Los barceloneses Cheeto's Magazine se han ganado a pulso el respeto y admiración de la afición progresiva del nuevo siglo. Con dos estupendos discos publicados, se han presentado en festivales de toda Europa y USA, con su siempre excéntrica y colorista imagen. Aquí traen un inédito del 2018, "Chili Guillermo" (6'40), de aureola inspirativa a Spock's Beard o Transatlantic. Lo que les hace valedores de interés en todo el mundo. Sonido internacion...
I sometimes wonder what it was like to be a music lover in the seventies. So many bands with so many records and so many of them obscure…was it as big a treat as it is today to find something incredibly rare. Blackwater Park "Dirt Box" [Spalax]
ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
