JADE WARRIOR - Eclipse (1973 - 2026 / Sommor - Guerssen)
Admito que para mí, Jade Warrior fueron unos de los grandes. Con su muy peculiar estilo y entendimiento del progresivo británico, muy abierto, que los hacía únicos. Es por esto que no eran para todos. Creo recordar que no es éste "Eclipse", el único álbum rechazado a la banda por compañías discográficas. Su música no era entendida. Pero vaticinó cosas cercanas al kraut, la mejor new age, y hasta el post rock, shoegaze o el trip hop. Eran los 70, ojo. Pero si hasta "Tubular Bells" tiene marcada influencia de ellos! Ahí estaba Jon Field a la flauta, miembro de Jade Warrior. Una banda con un cierto poso heavy psych made in Ladbroke Grove al principio. Que supo definir y reinventar su estilo hasta cotas incomparables. Del 71 al 72, caen tres valiosos discos para Vertigo, y decir ése nombre es decirlo todo. Luego, un año en blanco en su discografía, 1973. Hasta su vuelta con Island (otros que tal), con "Floating World" (1974). Ése "año en blanco" e...
I sometimes wonder what it was like to be a music lover in the seventies. So many bands with so many records and so many of them obscure…was it as big a treat as it is today to find something incredibly rare. Blackwater Park "Dirt Box" [Spalax]

Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
