Inauguro nueva sección que de nuevo no tiene nada. Más bien se trata de un ejercicio de nostalgia por mi parte y de ver con inmensa alegría como todo se va acabando cada año que pasa. El recurrir a esos “trenes de largo recorrido” y como van acabando sus viejos wagones olvidados en las estaciones término es una especie de “epifanía” o revelación de que esto se acaba. Como una lamentación póstuma de comprender que aquel tiempo pasado fue mejor. Os explico un poco por encima: Este ya no es el tiempo para muchos de nosotros. Me consta que es una conciencia colectiva de aquellos que ya hemos traspasado la edad de jubilación. La música actual incluso la “supuestamente buena” aburre a un alto porcentaje de mí generación. No se identifica ya con personas de más de seis décadas de vida y salvo aquellos que se crean que todavía son Peter Pan o Wendy, síndrome por cierto acuñado en psicología en los años 80, entenderán lo que quiero decir. I sometimes wonder what it was like to be a music lover in the seventies. So many bands with so many records and so many of them obscure…was it as big a treat as it is today to find something incredibly rare. Blackwater Park "Dirt Box" [Spalax]
ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
