La historia del rock español está llena de nombres que, pese a su enorme importancia, permanecen injustamente alejados del reconocimiento que merecen. Mientras algunos artistas alcanzaron una notable proyección mediática, otros contribuyeron de forma decisiva a construir los cimientos del rock progresivo y del hard rock nacional desde una discreción absoluta. Pedro Moreno pertenece, sin duda, a esta segunda categoría. Su fallecimiento, ocurrido a finales de 2025, supuso la desaparición de uno de los bateristas que mejor representaron el espíritu pionero de una generación de músicos empeñados en abrir nuevos caminos para el rock español. Formó parte de Cerebrum, una de las primeras bandas madrileñas en incorporar al rock nacional influencias procedentes de Cream, Ten Years After, Canned Heat y la psicodelia británica, contribuyendo decisivamente al nacimiento de un lenguaje propio que acabaría desembocando en el progresivo español. ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
