La escena del rock progresivo italiano siempre ha sido muy fuerte, creativamente hablando. La década de 1970 en Italia fue un período difícil en cuanto a su panorama político, con climas extremadamente polarizados e intensos, que rozaban la violencia. Muchas bandas tomaron partido, lo que provocó tensos y violentos enfrentamientos en sus conciertos. Debido a este caos político y partidista, algunas bandas sucumbieron, viéndose impedidas de tocar, y muchas desaparecieron por completo de la escena, también debido a problemas relacionados con el escaso apoyo de la industria discográfica. Pero siempre fue muy prolífico. ¡Se publicaron grandes álbumes! Obras magníficas, incluso de producción local, adquirieron relevancia e influencia. A pesar del clima de violencia y polarización que vivió Italia en los años setenta, las bandas eran amigas, se comunicaban entre sí y tocaban juntas. ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
