The Ferry es una de las salas de conciertos con capacidad para 600 personas localizada en un antiguo transbordador de pasajeros de 1952, restaurado y amarrado en el muelle Anderston Quay, en la orilla norte del río Clyde, Glasgow. Hace ya diecisiete años actuó en su escenario una banda formada por verdaderos iconos de rock blues británico, The British Blues Quintet. The British Blues Quintet se forma en 2006 en el Reino Unido, un supergrupo de cinco músicos veteranos reconocidos en la escena musical británica. Por una parte tenemos a la cantante escocesa Maggie Bell , en 1969 funda Stone the Crows junto a Les Harvey. Tras la disolución del grupo, Maggie inicia su carrera en solitario publicando varios discos siendo "Queen of the Night" (1974). Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
