Nacido el 1 de marzo de 1947 en Filadelfia es un influyente baterista, compositor y productor estadounidense, conocido por su habilidad para fusionar el jazz con el R&B y el soul. A lo largo de su carrera, ha destacado tanto como líder de banda como por su faceta de descubridor de talentos vocales. La popularidad de Connors radica en haber impulsado las carreras de grandes vocalistas e instrumentistas como: Phyllis Hyman, Jean Carn, Dee Dee Bridgewater y Michael Henderson. y por haber trabajado estrechamente con figuras del jazz como Norman Brown, Marion Meadows y Bobby Lyle Con apenas 16 años, el precozmente dotado Connors, que entonces aún estaba en la escuela, sustituyó a Elvin Jones en un concierto de Coltrane en Filadelfia, y durante un tiempo pareció que el jazz espiritual era su vocación, especialmente después de tocar con Pharaoh Sanders a principio de los años setenta. ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
