ETHIVA - Beaten Track (2025 / Clostridium)
Ya han aparecido por éstas páginas, los asturianos Ethiva . Banda formada alrededor de 2011 y que en un principio fue un power trío con el bajista-cantante, Jandro Losa. Algunas cosas han cambiado. En 2013 editan su primer álbum, "Ethiva". Y "Sublime Island" (2017), vendrá posteriormente. Así pues, el tercero de la banda ha sido obra de los actuales Javi Lorenzo (guitarras), Ramón Fernández (batería), Iván Muñoz (bajo) y Camil Cinnamon (voz solista). Que con arrollador ímpetu se instalan en el cerebro con "Rolling Freeze" (7'58), en un entramado de técnico hard que tecuerda a Rush en los 80. Ayuda a ésta percepción la firmeza vocal de la cantante y un estudiado plan arreglista que enriquece su complejidad estructural. Un guiño al "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" de George Harrison, sirve para exponer sentimiento psych en textura hard prog. Cohesión y perfección trabajan en un equipo que se entiende perfectamente. ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
