De los iniciales pioneros de la Berlín School, Ash Ra Tempel, derivarían en los finales 70 como Ashra. Una evolución más moderna de la electrónica que incluía influencias funk en su todavía interesante propuesta. Era como una declaración de intenciones, donde expresar que el patrón utilizado podía ser comercial, e incluso bailable, sin perder ni pizca de calidad ni pedigrí. You adoptaron esta misma filosofía. Albin Meskes (sintes, secuenciador), Udo Hanten (electronics, producción) y Ulrich Weber (guitarra, guitar-synth, gongs). Para más claridad de concepto, se les une el batería de Ashra, Harald Großkopf, (Wallenstein, Cosmic Jokers, Klaus Schulze), con el seudónimo de "Lhan Gopal". Su magnífica percusión le delata, y además también aporta sus sintetizadores. You editaron su debut en los últimos días de los 70. Le seguirían cuatro discos más, de 1983 a 1996. Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
