Habitual de las tabernas escocesas y de la escena borracheril de Edinburgo en los finales 60, Alan Robertson (luego Trajan por decisión artística de su mánager), era un volcán en constante erupción. Y escuchándole, uno juraría que el típico artista torturado. Su magma sonoro impregnaba los antros y tascas con un cúmulo indeterminado de jazz, blues, folk, soul o pop. O sea, primeros atisbos prog. Barrelhouse-boogie woogie de pianista bipolar y neurótico sin remedio. De órgano demoledor y storyteller de desgracias con esencia underground del momento. Prog blues de las cavernas con olor a cerveza barata y vino avinagrado. Cálido hogar para perdedores y desesperados en la gélida profundidad de la noche. Trajan no estuvo exento de propios problemas alcohólicos, que le llevaron en más de una ocasión a la humedad de una celda de comisaría. Hecho que no influyó, no al menos al principio, para que toda una MCA se fijara en su aura. Puro carisma de ser de luz que relucía sobre el gris...

ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
