MIZZOURI FOXX - Trapped Live (1979 / Brother Studio)
La misma historia de siempre, que no por contada hasta la saciedad deja de ser fascinantemente romántica. Nos situamos en el Southwest Missouri en los finales 60. Con una banda llamada originalmente Sound Company. Dicen que se decidieron a montarla a partir de ver unos shows de Iron Butterfly y Grand Funk Railroad. Así que tenemos pistas de su música. Creo que incluso llegaron a grabar algún 45", en algún sello marca acme. Entran en los 70 y actualizan estilo, como cada quisque. Cambian su nombre por Mizzouri Foxx, con el que permanecerán hasta su disolución en 1982. Antes se trasladan a California. Buenos amigos de la Alice Cooper Band o Crawdad (Steve y Cassie Gaines antes de entrar en Lynyrd Skynyrd). O de Fleetwood Mac, con los que abren conciertos, además de con Styx o Van Halen, entre otros. I sometimes wonder what it was like to be a music lover in the seventies. So many bands with so many records and so many of them obscure…was it as big a treat as it is today to find something incredibly rare. Blackwater Park "Dirt Box" [Spalax]
ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
