LA ESCENA DE CANTERBURY 13: Gong y el cachondeo patafísico.
Si existe un personaje particular e inclasificable de la Escena de Canterbury y del rock en particular ese es sin duda el australiano Daevid Allen nacido en 1938 y fallecido en 2015. Hay que decir de este hombre que jamás fue un engreído ni una altiva estrella del rock. Más bien todo lo contrario. Su carácter afable y bromista lo hacía asequible y próximo a todo tipo de personas que se acercaban a él. Siempre de buen humor y buen conversador. Inteligente y buen lector. Eso dice mucho de un músico en sentido positivo y no es fácil encontrarlos. El tipo caía bien o al menos esa es la información que tengo de él. Imagino que habrá opiniones diferentes pero con solo verlo parece un tipo cachondo y agradable. El mundo de la música en general está lleno de seres extraños y peculiares y este fue uno de sus más avanzados y particulares congéneres. Que un tipo se desplace desde Melbourne a Kent siguiendo la estela de los poetas beat tipo Ginsberg, Kerouac y Burroughs, ya daría para una nov...

Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
