Verano de canícula asesina. Y yo sin mucha lectura....mal rollo. Miro mi librería y observo con alegría el mega-tocho de Salvador Dominguez, "Los Hijos del Rock 1975 - 1989", editado en 2004. Lo he tenido siempre como "obra de consulta" y lo visito a menudo. Pero decido que ya vale, que hay que leerlo entero. Un placer sumergirse en la historia rock de este país, vista, analizada, sufrida y muy bien escrita por alguien tan querido en esta casa como es Salvador. Para mí, es la obra de referencia definitiva. Rechace (las muchas) imitaciones. En un momento de lectura, habla maravillas del "Dilema" de Emili Baleriola. Y no es cuestión de no creer en su palabra y buen gusto de músico de primera. Baleriola fue uno de los héroes del roc laietá. Un privilegiado, al tener un padre aficionado al jazz en aquellos oscuros tiempos. De lo que supo sacar buen partido su hijo. Su paso en los primeros 70 por Crac y lo que luego sería Máquina ! en su versión big brass b...
I sometimes wonder what it was like to be a music lover in the seventies. So many bands with so many records and so many of them obscure…was it as big a treat as it is today to find something incredibly rare. Blackwater Park "Dirt Box" [Spalax]
ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
