Puede que el caso de los It Bites grupo originario de Cumbria al norte de Inglaterra surgido a mediados de los “incomparables años 80´s” no sea el ejemplo más paradigmático de esa etiqueta “neo prog”. Más bien se les veía como unos prog boys que ocultaban sus gustos por precaución disfrazados y maqueados a semblanza de los tiempos del fashion plastic modern o como quieras llamarlo. Aunque se les suele asociar con toda la peña del movimiento desde Marillion a Pendragon e IQ pasando por Pallas o Twelfth Night, no necesariamente se “alineaban” con ese revival y lo cierto es que musicalmente los parámetros y forma compositiva del señor Dunnery y cia no eran tan descaradamente deudores de los acordes armonías y tempos de los Genesis, Yes, Camel y Pink Floyds de turno que tanto nos recuerdan los representantes del género de la segunda generación. ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
