El Blues Alley es el club de jazz mas antiguo de los Estados Unidos. Situado en en el barrio de Georgetown de Washington, DC. Abrió sus puertas en 1965. Con una capacidad de tan solo 125 personas, por su escenario han pasados los músicos mas renombrados del jazz. Hoy nos volveremos a sumergir en su denso ambiente de la mano de Pat Martino. Pat Martino ( Patrick Carmen Azzara) nace en 1944 en Filadelfia, Pensilvania. Comienza a estudiar guitarra de la mano del profesor y guitarrista Dennis Sandole, mentor de John John Coltrane. Con quince años deja la escuela para dedicarse profesionalmente a la música trasladándose a New York. En la gran manzana vive con Les Paul y actúa de forma asidua en el Smalls Paradise. En 1964 ficha con Prestige Records y publica su primera grabación "El Hombre" (1967). ResponderEliminarTheir lone (only one album) with 1972 this German hard rock outfit with an English vocalist,combined elements from multiple extant and budding rock subgenres to construct their complex sound: hard rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock, acid rock, prog rock, and even proto-metal.
Blackwater Park is an obscure band that emerged from the Berlin underground scene. They released their unique album "Dirt Box" in 1971, published on BASF in 1972. The group delivers a captivating, effective bluesy-heavy rock "trip" with lot of incisive guitar riffs, progressive Hammond Organ's arrangements, melodic heavy vocals and psychedelic effects that are part of the mix. His British singer had a strong voice. Especially the third and heavy track "Indian Summer", which clearly shows us the quality, engaging and virtuosity among its members. Remember that the last song is beautiful version of "For No One", composed by Lennon and McCartney,with the album 'Revolver' issued in 1966.
(Accessible) kraut power band whose work is essential for collectors. "Dirt Box" has been recently reissued on CD by record labels Second Battle.
Excelente banda!!!. La conoci el año pasado. Tienen una mezcla de progresivo, toques de bules y hard. Las piezas Indian summer, rock song,mental block y Dirty face muy buenas!!!
